Welcome to the Minerva Crafts and Fabrics website terms and conditions of use. Please read this carefully as by using our website you are agreeing to the terms set out below.

These terms and conditions apply to the usage of the website and all transactions for the sale of goods on the website. Please read them carefully and print and keep a copy for your reference. They do not affect your statutory rights. We’re continually seeking to improve the website and services offered, and we reserve the right, at our discretion, to make changes to any part of the website, and to the terms and conditions, at any time. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted on the website.

Making a Purchase

Browse the store and add items you wish to buy into the shopping cart. We have no minimum order value!

After you have finished shopping, click on checkout and you will then be able to chose your payment method and shipping details. Please note that choosing the wrong country may result is incorrect shipping or VAT charges being applied to your order. We reserve the right to adjust your order after it has been submitted if you choose the wrong location from the list of countries when placing your order.

Once your order has been placed you should receive an order acknowledgement, providing you specified a valid email address at the time of placing your order.

Payment Options

We accept Paypal, Cheque, Postal Orders, Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Visa, Electron, and Maestro. 

To pay by cheque or postal order please make payable to Minerva Fabrics Limited and send to us along with a copy of your order and account number to Minerva Fabrics Ltd, Ellesmere Road, Darwen, Lancashire, BB3 1HT. Please note: if you are paying by cheque, please allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear before goods can be dispatched. We can only accept cheques from within the UK.

If you are paying by Paypal please log into your Paypal account, click the send money tab at the top, and send the money to us @ info@minervacraftsandfabrics.co.uk. (Please state your order number in the subject box which will appear on the second page).

Delivery Options and Charges

For your convenience, we offer three different delivery options:

FREE delivery - Spend £10 or more in a single transaction, and we will not charge you for delivery ex VAT. This applies to Standard delivery orders only. We aim to dispatch all orders the same day, and as we use either Royal Mail 1st Class or Yodel courier, you should allow three working days for delivery for larger orders (over 1kg by courier). This applies to UK mainland addresses only.

STANDARD delivery - Our standard delivery charge is £1.99 for orders up to a value of £9.99 ex VAT. We aim to dispatch all orders the same day, and as we use either Royal Mail 1st Class or Yodel courier, you should allow three working days for delivery on larger orders (over 1kg by courier). This applies to UK mainland addresses only.

24 HOUR delivery - Our Next Working Day delivery charge is £7.99. We use Yodel, who aim to deliver to you the next working day. This applies to UK mainland addresses only.

If you place an order before 2.00pm on a weekday, it will be delivered to you the following working day. If you place your order after 2.00pm on a Friday, weekend or Bank Holiday, please add another working day. A signature is required when we deliver your order with Next Day delivery.

Please note: FREE delivery is not available for Next Day orders and unless you have paid for next day delivery we cannot be held responsible for delays with postage. N.B. Working days exclude Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Non UK Destinations

Europe shipping is £9.99.

International shipping (outside of Europe) £19.99.

International customers please note: If your parcel exceeds 2kg, we reserve the right to amend shipping charges. If this applies to you we will contact you at the earliest opportunity.

What if you’re not in?

If you or the intended recipient is not in when the delivery attempt is made, the courier will leave a card at the delivery address confirming that they have tried to deliver. Please follow the instructions on the card to arrange re-delivery or collection of your order.

If goods are returned back to us we will contact you to let you know. To have them delivered will incur a second delivery as charged to us. We cannot be held responsible if you are not in for delivery or fail to re-arrange a delivery date with the courier.

Late Deliveries

Our couriers will endeavour to deliver your order to you as quickly as possible, but sometimes delays can occur. These are usually due to circumstances beyond their control, and unfortunately we cannot accept any liability for them (including 24hr deliveries). 

Please allow 10 working days for delivery before contacting us to chase your order.

Lost in Post or Misplaced Parcels:

Royal Mail do not consider a parcel to be lost or delayed until 15 days after posting. We are therefore unable to replace or refund orders until 15 days have elapsed and a verification email received. 

Availability

Please note that stock levels on the website are indicative only. Where high quantities are shown available it does not mean we carry in stock the level as shown, but that this product it a constant line, rather than a one off-deal! 

In the unlikely event that we do not have all the items you ordered in stock, we will send out what is in stock, and the rest to follow as quickly as possible. Where items have since been discontinued from product ranges we will send out what is in stock, and cancel off the unavailable items, but we will only charge you what we’ve been able to send.

If your entire order is not in stock, we’ll contact you by email to advise we’ve had to cancel your order.

What if only part of your order has arrived?

Please refer to your paperwork to see whether there is more than one parcel. For example, if your invoice reads ‘Item to follow shortly’, then this means that we were unable to package your entire order in one package and you should expect a further delivery within the next few days.

If some of the items were unavailable when we went to pick your order then these items may have been cancelled from your order. Your paperwork will show the products that have been cancelled.

Product Details

We are a UK based company and the product prices in GB£ displayed on the website include VAT, where applicable. Where additional charges are made for delivery, they are clearly displayed, and are valid and effective only in the United Kingdom. An invoice will be provided and VAT is shown seperately on the invoice at the checkout point.

We take great care to present the products on our website as accurately as possible, however, although we endeavour to ensure that all information on the website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be incorrect. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We are not obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, products and specifications of products on the website at our discretion at any time before we accept your order. We reserve the right to withdraw any goods from the website at any time.

We are unable to guarantee that the colours of images of the products you see are accurate, because it depends on your monitor’s display settings. Please send for free samples where neccessary.

Returns Policy

You can cancel your order before it is dispatched by calling us on 01254 708068 or by email.

Returns should be made within 28 days from the date of despatch. All returns are required to be accompanied with a customer returns form which is supplied in your parcel, and sent to the address below. Postage charges will not be refunded on returned items.

Please return the goods either via a secure delivery service with a tracking number, or secure a proof of postage as we cannot be held responsible for parcels being lost or damaged in the post. 

N.B. We are unable to resend, replace or refund any item until we have received the original back via this return method.

To be eligible for a refund the goods must be unopened or unused in any way. Any goods returned incomplete i.e. missing packaging etc, will not be replaced or refunded.

Damaged, Defect Goods or Incorrect Deliveries:

Damaged, defect goods or incorrect deliveries may be returned either for a full refund or exchange. Please note: Discrepancies in colour or photo illustrations is not deemed to be a fault, we always advise to send for a sample first where possible. Postal costs in returning the defect goods will be refunded (up to the value of standard first class mail), but the item must be returned to us before we can proceed with your return or exchange. Please note: A refund will only be issued for standard delivery. The cost to return any parcel sent via any other service is to be bourne by the consumer. If goods are damaged in the post you must please return the packaging that you received it in so we can take it up with our couriers.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU distance selling directive.

Privacy

Minerva Crafts and Fabrics have security measures which are continually monitored to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of all information under our control. All sensitive information including all card details and information are transmitted via our Thawte Certificate (RSA 1024 Bit) Secured Pages in an encrypted format.  Any card details provided are only used by Minerva to complete your transaction, after which they are deleted from our systems. We take your privacy very seriously and will never divulge your name, postal address or email to any third party. We do not store credit card details and do not share any customer details with any third parties. Your name and address are held by us only so we can provide a first class service. Note: no card details are stored or retained in any of our databases for any account types and so you must re-enter card details on a per-order basis.
 

Further Information

No product is deemed to be fireproof and all products should be assumed to be handwash only. Due to the manufacturing process exact shade matching between batches cannot be guaranteed. It is advisable to order sufficient materials to ensure colour matching. Some products are in limited quantities and further supplies may not be available. If you need a large amount please contact us to check availability. Colours shown on the website are indicative only. If you would like to check the exact shade please send for samples. No warranty can be given as the final use is outside the control of the company. Please note: Fabrics or other products (i.e trimmings, cord, yarn) sold per roll will possibly contain joins, this is something beyond our control, and is not deemed to be a fault.
